I have learned many new things from this class. I am anxious to use some of these things with my students keeping in mind safety concerns (as this weeks assignment suggests).

I have already done podcasts with my students and will continue to do so. It's a wonderful tool to help with fluency (reading first people are you listening?) since students are involved with the whole process of doing podcast.

I have not yet introduced blogs or wikis to them. However, I can see using both of these tools to help with reading, writing and general communication skills. Plus it's a wonderful way to enhance the learning process for students.

For our final project, Mary & I are going to be working on a collaborative project using a wiki. We're calling it "Wikiwaukee." This will be a project that students will contribute to during our study of Milwaukee. I am excited about the possibilites for this. We will post the completed project soon.

I'll get the hang of this!

So, this is blogging. I've seen but never actually created one until now. I'm very unsure of this & how to start.

I see huge potential in the classroom using blogs. Now if I could just figure out exactly what I'm supposed to do -- I'd be on the right track.
